Gold Band is a local-first desktop client for coding agents. It connects to local agents through Agent Client Protocol and brings conversations, workspaces, permissions, attachments, history, and runtime status into one application. Users can chat directly with an agent or run longer tasks through structured workflows that separate planning, development, review, testing, and acceptance. For open-ended tasks, AI can decompose work dynamically, while Gold Band manages runtime state and boundaries. It supports recoverable sessions, follow-up prompts, history, optional synchronization, model and permission settings, file attachments, and artifact archival. Users can inspect agent messages, tool calls, system prompts, token usage, duration, and runtime state. Gold Band provides a unified workspace for supervising local coding agents and recovering their work across sessions.
