About Hackolade
Hackolade Studio is a visual data-modeling and schema-design application for SQL and NoSQL databases, APIs, and storage formats. It represents collections in an entity-relationship diagram and shows each collection’s JSON Schema in a hierarchical view. Together these views describe the design of data at rest and data in motion, and provide documentation of the model. The application is designed to represent nested JSON structures and denormalized data. It can generate schema scripts and documentation in machine-readable formats such as DDLs, JSON Schema, Avro, Parquet, and Protobuf, as well as human-readable reports in HTML, Markdown, and PDF. The evidence also describes generating database instances from the model. Hackolade is intended to support collaboration among people involved in designing, building, testing, and operating systems that use these data technologies. Its diagrams and schema views give stakeholders a shared way to review structures before or alongside implementation. The supplied information covers multiple database and API types but does not enumerate every supported technology.
