SOFTWARE OVERVIEW

Hail

Hail freezes selected Android apps so they cannot run normally until they are restored.

About Hail

Hail freezes selected Android apps so they cannot run normally until they are restored. It offers three methods: disabling an app so it disappears from the launcher, hiding it from the launcher and installed-app list, or suspending it so it appears grayed out. Each method can be reversed by enabling, unhiding, or unsuspending the app. Hail supports several operating modes depending on device setup, including Device Owner, Dhizuku, root, and Shizuku. The appropriate mode determines which freeze methods are available. The product describes freezing as a way to prevent apps from running when they are not needed, with the aim of reducing resource use and saving power. It is open-source software. Hail is suited to users who want to manage app availability, though its exact capabilities depend on the permissions and management mode configured on the device.
