About Handy Reading
Handy Reading is an offline-oriented reader for RSS feeds, web articles, and FB2 books. It can load article text directly into its own reading view, so users do not need to open a separate browser to read full content. After feeds and content have been updated, downloaded material can be read without another internet connection. Users can control how much content is fetched, which can reduce repeated loading when revisiting articles. The reader includes a read-later collection for starring articles, notifications for items marked important, and an option to remove an article from favorites after it has been finished. It remembers reading position separately for each article. Navigation can use swipe gestures, tap zones, or the device’s volume buttons, and users can adjust text size, color, brightness, and theme. Article position and appearance controls support longer reading sessions across different kinds of content. The app also supports OPML import and export for backing up feed subscriptions, and can provide content from websites that do not use RSS. It is highly customizable, including tap-zone size and link styling. Handy Reading does not synchronize with online feed-reader services, so subscriptions and reading state should not be assumed to sync with another platform. It is intended for readers who want to gather and download their interests locally, then read with fewer interruptions.
