About HASS.Agent .NET10

HASS.Agent .NET10 connects a Windows computer to Home Assistant and exposes local computer functions to that home-automation system. It can communicate through MQTT or the Home Assistant WebSocket API. The application provides notifications, media controls, sensors, and command triggers, allowing a computer to participate in automations and show relevant Home Assistant activity on the Windows desktop. Notifications sent from Home Assistant can appear as Windows notifications with pictures, buttons, and text fields. The computer can expose a media player and built-in or custom sensors, as well as its display as a light. Audio-device selections and hotkeys can also be exposed as events. For actions, the application offers shutdown, restart, and custom command buttons. These features connect desktop interaction and system state with the broader automation setup. An interactive tray application handles functions that need a logged-in desktop session. An optional Windows service can keep sensors and commands available when no user is logged in. This division allows background functions to continue independently while retaining the tray interface for interactive features. The product also has a matching Home Assistant integration available through HACS, which is part of the described setup for connecting the agent to Home Assistant.
