About Hex Launcher
Hex Launcher is an Android home screen replacement built around quick access to apps. Its search-first interface places results within easy reach, allowing users to find and open an app without navigating through a full-screen drawer. Six apps can be configured for fast access through gestures, creating a small set of shortcuts tailored to the user’s most frequent actions. The launcher is designed to be minimal, focusing on search and direct app access rather than adding a large set of widgets or visual effects. It is open-source software and has no advertising, analytics, tracking, or internet connection. Optional on-device logging can be enabled for troubleshooting, and users can choose to send bug reports by email; these options are off by default. Hex Launcher is intended for people who want their home screen to reduce the steps between unlocking a phone and opening an app. Its search interface and gesture shortcuts provide two ways to reach apps quickly, while the small number of dedicated gesture slots keeps the home screen focused.
