About I2PChat
I2PChat is a Qt-based chat client for the I2P network. It provides messaging through that network and includes a built-in web interface. The application is designed for users who want to communicate using I2P rather than relying on ordinary direct internet connections. The client supports Windows systems and presents its messaging functions through a desktop application, with a browser-based interface also available. To operate, it requires an I2P SAM bridge, which provides the connection between the chat client and the I2P network. This dependency must be available for the application to send and receive messages. I2PChat is a lightweight client focused on chat within the I2P environment. Its role is to provide the messaging interface, while network connectivity is supplied by the bridge. The desktop and built-in web interfaces offer two ways to access the client’s functionality on a supported Windows system.
