About Imagepipe
Imagepipe is an Android image utility that reduces file size and removes metadata before sharing a photo. It can resize an image and adjust its quality, then save the modified copy as a JPEG in a separate folder. The original image remains unchanged. The app works directly in the Android sharing flow: when an image is shared to Imagepipe, it modifies the image and passes the result onward to the chosen destination. This lets users reduce image dimensions or quality and remove EXIF data in one step before sending, rather than editing the file separately and then returning to the original app. Imagepipe can also be opened to edit an image directly. Its documented role is preparing a copy for sharing by reducing size and stripping embedded metadata, while keeping the source photo intact.
