About isw
isw is a command-line tool for energy-aware code analysis and optimization. It scans a project to identify hotspots and can attempt code optimizations intended to reduce estimated energy use and performance cost. An AI agent can optionally be used as part of optimization. The analysis focuses on locating parts of a project that may have a disproportionate cost. Optimization provides a follow-up step for addressing those areas, while the estimates help developers compare possible changes. isw is distributed as a self-contained binary. isw is intended for developers who want to investigate energy and performance costs in code. It provides a CLI workflow that combines project scanning, hotspot detection, and optional optimization.
