About Java Service Steward
Java Service Steward runs Java applications as Windows services and provides controls for supervising their operation. It reads `wrapper.conf`-style configuration files and follows familiar command-line conventions, helping existing Java service setups transition to this host. The service host launches the JVM through an authenticated loopback channel, restarts the application if it fails or stops responding, and rotates logs. It can also produce thread and heap dumps on demand, which can assist with diagnosing a running Java process. The distribution includes a Windows executable and a Java bridge component. Java Service Steward is designed for running long-lived Java applications under Windows service management. Its evidence describes process supervision and diagnostic output but does not enumerate supported JVM versions or service-account configuration.
