About jirac-mcp
jirac-mcp is a typed tool server that exposes Jira operations to editors and AI agents through the Model Context Protocol. Instead of requiring each connected tool to implement its own Jira interface, the server presents structured operations that compatible clients can call. Its role is integration: it connects an editor or agent workflow to issue-tracking actions in a typed form. The server is written in Rust and has builds for Windows, macOS, and Linux. The operations available in a session depend on the Jira account and permissions supplied to the server. jirac-mcp is not itself a task board or issue tracker; it provides a structured bridge to Jira for compatible development tools and agents.
