About JPEXS Free Flash Decompiler

JPEXS Free Flash Decompiler (FFDec) is an open-source tool for decompiling and editing Flash SWF files. It can display ActionScript source, export scripts and media resources, convert SWF files to FLA, and export or import SWF content through XML. Supported resource types include images, shapes, movies, sounds, and fonts. The application supports ActionScript 1, ActionScript 2, and ActionScript 3. It can replace images, edit text and fonts, and offers experimental direct editing of ActionScript source as well as assembler-level editing. An integrated debugger supports stepping, breakpoints, and variable inspection. Decompiled source can be linked to the corresponding P-code instructions. FFDec is intended for inspecting, extracting, converting, and modifying legacy Flash content. The supplied information identifies several output formats, including SVG and HTML5 Canvas, but does not detail compatibility limits for all SWF variants.
