About JSON diff and patch
JSON diff and patch (`jd`) is a command-line utility and Go library for comparing and patching JSON and YAML values. It can show differences between structured documents and apply patches, supporting both interactive review and integration into programs written in Go. The tool provides its own diff format, similar to unified diffs, and supports JSON Merge Patch (RFC 7386) plus a subset of JSON Patch (RFC 6902). This gives users standard and tool-specific ways to represent changes to structured data. The supplied information does not enumerate the supported subset of JSON Patch operations. `jd` is intended for structured data rather than line-oriented text comparison alone. Its CLI can fit into scripts that need to inspect or apply changes to JSON and YAML.
