About JupyterLab
JupyterLab is a computational environment for working with notebooks, code, and data. The desktop application provides a packaged way to use JupyterLab as a computer-based workspace, with a desktop shell built using Electron. Jupyter environments are commonly used to combine executable code, explanatory text, and outputs in one document, which supports analysis and experimentation. The application is aimed at people who work with data or computational notebooks and want a desktop entry point to that environment. JupyterLab brings notebook-based work into an interactive workspace where code and results can be explored together. It gives notebook work a dedicated desktop window while retaining the computational workspace used for coding and data analysis.
