About jwtd
jwtd is a command-line tool for decoding and formatting JSON Web Tokens and JSON Web Encryption tokens. It presents token contents as syntax-highlighted JSON, making claims and structured payloads easier to inspect during development or troubleshooting. The tool can verify JSON Web Signature signatures and decrypt encrypted tokens when supplied with a key. This allows developers to check whether a signed token is valid or view the contents of an encrypted token when they have the required key material. jwtd is intended for technical users working with token-based authentication or encrypted web data. Its terminal workflow provides decoding, formatted output, signature verification, and optional decryption in one utility.
