About K-9 Mail
K-9 Mail is an open-source Android email client designed to work with a wide range of email providers. It supports multiple accounts and a unified inbox, bringing messages from different accounts into one view. Mail can synchronize automatically in the background or use push notifications. Search can run locally or on the mail server. The app supports OpenPGP email encryption in the PGP/MIME format. Encrypting or decrypting messages requires a separate key-management app. K-9 Mail is described as connecting only to the user’s email provider and having no tracking. K-9 Mail is intended for people who want to manage several email accounts from one client, with search, synchronization, and optional encrypted email. The exact setup and available features depend on the mail provider. The supplied description does not specify supported account protocols or whether every provider offers push delivery.
