About Killendar

Killendar is an encrypted calendar for Windows that stores appointments in a single file on the user’s computer. It provides month, week, day, and agenda views, along with color categories and recurring appointments. The calendar data can be imported from or exported to iCalendar format. The calendar file is a SQLite database and can be read, backed up, or copied while unlocked. Optional AES-256 encryption at rest is available through SQLCipher after the user sets a password. This combines ordinary calendar organization with an option to protect the stored data. Killendar can be installed or run portably. It does not require an account or synchronization service, and it is open source under GPLv3. It is intended for users who want a local calendar with flexible views, repeating events, and control over the calendar file.
