About Kleopatra
Kleopatra is a certificate manager and graphical interface for cryptographic operations. It supports managing X.509 and OpenPGP certificates in the GpgSM keybox and retrieving certificates from LDAP servers. This brings certificate organization and directory lookup together in one tool. Users can work with certificates from different standards through a common interface, making it easier to manage certificate material used by software that relies on cryptographic identities. LDAP retrieval provides access to certificates stored on directory servers, while the keybox support handles local certificate management. X.509 and OpenPGP are certificate standards used in different cryptographic workflows. LDAP retrieval can help locate certificates held by directory services.
