About Komi Store
Komi Store is an app discovery and update manager for Android software releases. It lets users browse apps across supported code hosting services, search for a specific project, and explore feeds organized around popularity, recent releases, or topics such as media, productivity, networking, and developer tools. When an app’s release provides an installable Android package, Komi Store can guide the user through installing it. The app can also track software already installed on a device. Users can connect an existing installation to its project and receive update notifications, or scan the device for apps that can be linked. For projects that publish several package variants, users can pin the exact variant they chose so later updates continue to use the same build type. Per-app controls include skipping a release, ignoring future updates, and adjusting rules that select release assets. Installation can use Android’s standard installer or optional alternate methods supported by the device, including methods for less-interactive installation on configured devices. Komi Store offers several ways to access public or private releases, including web sign-in, device authorization, and personal access tokens for supported services. A separate token can be set for each service when accessing private projects. It can use mirrors for networks where direct access is limited, and it can translate project readmes in the app through selectable translation providers. Users can import or export app lists, choose light, dark, or AMOLED themes, and use dynamic colors on supported Android versions. These features bring discovery, installation, and update tracking into one mobile workflow for apps distributed through release pages.
