About Kuaizi IME
Kuaizi IME is a Chinese Pinyin keyboard for touchscreen devices. Instead of entering Pinyin by tapping individual virtual keys one at a time, it uses a swipe-based method that combines Pinyin letters. Its key layout is designed for more convenient and accurate entry on a small screen. The input method also provides editing controls, including cursor movement and text selection in the active app, to make it easier to correct text without precisely tapping a position in a long passage. The app’s design does not include predictive input or fuzzy matching. Its description frames this as a way to keep users actively engaged with Pinyin and Chinese characters as they type. User-generated data is stored locally, and the app states that it does not connect to the internet or collect or analyze user data or behavior. In practical use, Kuaizi combines an alternative way to enter Pinyin with basic text-editing tools aimed at mobile writing.
