About Kvaesitso
Kvaesitso is an Android launcher that replaces the standard home screen with a search-focused interface. Its global search can find apps, contacts, and calendar events stored on the device, as well as information from selected web services such as an encyclopedia or a personal cloud instance. The aim is to surface the quickest way to a requested app or piece of information. The launcher also includes practical search tools, including a calculator and unit converter. Rather than organizing the home screen primarily around fixed icons, Kvaesitso centers interaction on searching and opening results. It is built around its own launcher design rather than recreating the standard Android launcher layout. Kvaesitso is free and open source. Its combination of device search, selected online sources, and built-in utilities makes the launcher an interface for finding both local content and external information from one place.
