About kyverno
Kyverno is a policy engine for Kubernetes that can validate, mutate, and generate configuration. Policies are represented as Kubernetes resources, so users can express rules using the platform’s native configuration objects rather than learning a separate policy language. Kyverno applies controls when resources are admitted to a cluster and can also perform background scans. Validation checks whether a resource meets rules, mutation changes it to align with a policy, and generation creates related resources. These functions support enforcing configuration standards and automating common setup patterns. The product description says it works with existing Kubernetes tools and version-controlled workflows. It does not list policy examples or guarantee that any particular policy is appropriate for a cluster.
