About Laurel Launcher
Laurel Launcher installs and updates the Laurel Windows Assistant. After installation, it downloads and manages the Assistant package for the signed-in user, so the launcher serves as the setup and update layer for the separate assistant application. The launcher is intended for a standard user installation. Organization-specific deployments through mobile device management or virtual desktop infrastructure use an MSI command line with customer and virtualization settings. This distinction matters when setting up the Assistant across a managed business environment: those deployments follow a different configuration path from the generic launcher flow. Laurel Launcher is therefore a focused installer and updater rather than the Assistant itself. Its main job is to obtain and manage the Assistant package for an individual Windows user, while managed or virtualized installations rely on the corresponding MSI configuration.
