About liftmath
liftmath is a gym calculator for use between sets. It estimates a one-rep maximum from a performed set using six published formulas and displays their median. Users can include perceived effort or repetitions in reserve to account for how many more repetitions they could have completed. A percentage chart shows suggested loads from 100% down to 50%, rounded to the weights available on the configured bar. The plate calculator works backward from a target weight to show which plates belong on each side of the bar, with a visual diagram. It supports standard and 15-kilogram bars, metric plates, and custom home plate collections. An optional warm-up ramp lays out sets leading up to the target. For powerlifting, liftmath calculates Wilks, DOTS, and IPF GL strength scores from a lifter’s total and body weight. It can compare a DOTS result with lifters in a supplied database. The app also lists records across powerlifting, strongman, grip, and track and field, and shows a user’s lift as a percentage of a record. A rest timer can be set from one to five minutes or to a custom duration; it keeps the screen on and vibrates when time is up. The app supports pounds and kilograms and can share a link to the displayed numbers. It works without network access or an account, and settings stay on the device.
