SOFTWARE OVERVIEW

ListenTogether

ListenTogether synchronizes playback of podcasts and other audio files for a group of listeners.

About ListenTogether

ListenTogether synchronizes playback of podcasts and other audio files for a group of listeners. One person starts a listening session and invites friends; playback stays aligned for participants whether they are in the same room or far apart. Friends can join through the app or a web browser, so they do not all need to install the Android client. Users can add a publicly accessible audio link to a playlist. For podcasts, episodes can be searched and added directly without entering an individual audio-file address. The app is designed for shared listening sessions rather than private playback alone, coordinating play position among participants. ListenTogether is useful for listening to an episode or audio file together remotely, with participants joining the same session from different devices. The audio must be publicly reachable over HTTP or HTTPS, and playback depends on the source remaining accessible to the participants.
