About Little Painter
Little Painter is a finger-painting app for toddlers that keeps the screen focused on a canvas. It uses Android screen pinning to hide system bars and suppress edge gestures, reducing the chance that a child will leave the drawing surface or open another app. A parent can set a PIN to exit; a hidden long-press area requests that PIN before returning to the phone. The drawing tools include eight colors, adjustable brush size, an eraser, and stamps such as stars, hearts, flowers, and snowflakes. A long-press picker selects a stamp. Undo is available for accidental clearing, and an optional screen-time reminder gently fades in after a chosen duration without interrupting the child. Little Painter contains no ads or tracking and does not request internet access. The exit PIN is stored locally as a salted hash. The interface is available in English and Spanish. There is no PIN recovery feature; if the PIN is forgotten, the app’s data must be cleared in Android settings to reset it. The app is designed for supervised, simple drawing rather than a full-featured art editor.
