About Log4View
Log4View is a log viewer for XML-formatted and pattern-formatted logging output. It can collect messages from files, UDP, TCP, and database sources, then display multiple logs together or in separate windows. A dynamic logger tree and configurable filters let users choose which loggers and levels to show, while hidden messages remain available when filter settings change. The interface supports customizable layouts, fonts, and colors based on logger name, level, message text, and other criteria. Large log files can be viewed, and messages from multiple sources can be merged into a common view. This is useful when debugging distributed applications, where output from several components needs to be compared. Log4View is a .NET application written in C# and designed for developers investigating application logs.
