About Logcat Reader
Logcat Reader is an Android utility for viewing and saving device logs. It color-codes log entries by priority, making different severity levels easier to distinguish, and lets users search messages and tags. Where supported by the device, users can choose among available log buffers. The selected log can be saved as a plain text file in a format similar to the output of the Android logging tool. The app includes a dark theme that switches on automatically at night by default. Some devices may not expose the selectable log buffers; in that case, the option is absent from settings. Logcat Reader is intended for inspecting device activity or troubleshooting software behavior. Its documented functions are log viewing, search, buffer selection, and text export; the supplied evidence does not specify whether elevated permissions are needed to access particular logs or how much history is retained.
