About Loomfy
Loomfy records meetings, interviews, podcasts, and other audio, then transcribes and organizes the conversation. It captures microphone audio, system audio, or both without adding a bot to the call. On the free local plan, transcription runs on the user’s machine and displays a live transcript with speaker identification and timestamps. Keyword alerts can notify the user when specified terms are spoken. After recording, Loomfy can produce structured summaries with decisions, action items, topics, and a timeline. Users can ask questions about a meeting, rename or merge speakers, and generate documents such as meeting notes, project briefs, decision records, follow-up messages, and status reports. Transcripts and summaries can be exported to PDF or Markdown with configurable sections. Partial summaries can also provide running context while a conversation is underway. The product separates local processing from optional cloud features. The free plan keeps recordings and transcripts on the computer and supports local transcription, while paid plans add AI summaries or cloud transcription. Loomfy runs on Linux, Windows, and macOS, using GPU acceleration where available. Its desktop workflow is to select audio sources, record, follow the transcript, and review or export the resulting notes. The available evidence notes a fix for starting transcription on Windows systems without a particular runtime dependency.
