About Loophole

Loophole provides a one-tap Quick Settings control for Android Developer Options. It can read the current setting and toggle Developer Options directly from the notification shade, with an optional home-screen widget and an in-app switch as alternatives. The status view also shows whether Developer Options is currently enabled. The app is designed for people who need Developer Options for development work but want a quicker way to turn it off temporarily. Android does not allow this control through an ordinary runtime permission prompt: the user must grant the WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS permission manually using Android Debug Bridge. This is a one-time setup requirement before the toggle can work. Loophole is described as making no network requests and having no internet permission. It has no ads, analytics, or tracking. The product information lists additional system permissions associated with its widget framework, but explains that these support widget updates and service behavior rather than network access. After setup, the app’s main function is the quick toggle and status check.
