About Luftlinie
Luftlinie is an Android direction-finding app that points toward a chosen destination. The user enters where they want to go, and the app shows an arrow indicating the direct direction, without accounting for roads, barriers, or other obstacles. It is intended for orientation rather than turn-by-turn navigation. The app’s accuracy depends on the phone’s compass sensor and GPS reception. A stable compass and a clear location signal help it point in the intended direction, while poor sensor or reception conditions can affect the result. Luftlinie provides a simple directional guide for finding a straight-line bearing to a destination. It does not calculate a route or indicate which paths are passable, so users must choose their own way around obstacles.
