About Luncher
Luncher is a lightweight home screen for Android TV. It shows the time and date alongside installed TV apps in a grid of banners, providing a simple way to open apps from the television interface. Users can reorder apps with the remote control or hide apps they do not want shown; hidden apps can be restored through the same controls or the settings list. The settings screen can be opened from an on-screen gear or the Menu key, and it also provides access to the device’s own settings. Luncher is designed to run on low-powered TV devices and supports Android TV 5.1 and newer. It requests no permissions and has no internet access, accounts, advertisements, or tracking. On some Android TV versions, making it the active home screen involves a device-specific setup step; it can also be opened like any other app. Its focus is a compact, manageable app grid rather than a feature-heavy television interface.
