About M.A.L.P.
M.A.L.P. is a remote control for a Music Player Daemon (MPD) server. It can browse artists, albums, files, and saved playlists; search locally or on the server; and manage playlists by adding or removing tracks and saving lists. The app also provides playback and output controls, server statistics, and multiple server profiles, so a user can manage more than one MPD setup from the same device. Artwork can be displayed for artists and albums, and the app offers a home-screen widget and optional playback notification. When the notification is enabled, hardware volume buttons can control playback in the background. M.A.L.P. is an MPD client rather than a standalone local music player, and it works with MPD servers above version 0.14. Accurate music tags improve library browsing and artwork matching.
