About MA Office
MA Office is a document viewer and editor for OpenDocument and Microsoft Office file formats. It supports text documents, spreadsheets, and presentations, including ODT, ODS, ODP, DOCX, XLSX, and PPTX. The app includes a formula engine for spreadsheet calculations, along with charts, diagrams, themes, and printing. Documents can be edited collaboratively online using end-to-end encryption. Users do not need accounts for collaboration, and a relay server forwards encrypted data without holding the document key. The collaboration feature is the only function described as requiring internet access; viewing and editing files can be done locally. MA Office is intended for opening, changing, and printing common document formats, with optional encrypted collaboration when multiple people need to work together. Its native Rust formula engine and document conflict-free replicated data type support calculations and concurrent editing.
