About Magnifica
Magnifica turns an Android camera into a magnifier for reading small text or examining details. Users can switch between the front and rear cameras, focus by tapping, and zoom with either pinch gestures or step buttons. A live view can be frozen as a full-resolution image, then zoomed and panned for closer inspection. Volume buttons can also freeze or unfreeze the view. The app includes six live color effects, such as grayscale, negative, high contrast, yellow on black, and a color-vision assistance filter. The rear camera can use the phone’s flashlight; the front camera can use a bright white screen as illumination. The display stays on while the app is open, and zoom level is remembered when switching away and back. Magnifica requests camera access and has no account, ads, or network features.
