About mail
monocles mail is an Android email client that supports multiple accounts and a unified inbox. It can synchronize messages in the background or use push notifications, and offers both local and server-side search. OpenPGP encryption is supported for email using the PGP/MIME format. The client is described as privacy-friendly and says it connects only to the user’s email provider, without tracking. Its unified inbox brings messages from multiple configured accounts into one view while preserving account support. Background synchronization and push notifications help keep incoming mail available without manually refreshing each account. monocles mail is a fork of an established open-source email client, with interface updates intended to improve usability. Its documented features focus on account management, unified reading, search, synchronization, and encrypted email rather than calendar or contact management.
