About Markdown Reader - PilcrowMD
PilcrowMD is an Android reader and editor for Markdown files. It opens Markdown and text documents in a formatted reading view that supports headings, lists, tables, task lists, code blocks, math, callouts, collapsible sections, and YAML front matter. Images stored next to a note can appear in the document, while remote images are not downloaded. Users can switch to a source editor with syntax highlighting, line numbers, and undo or redo. Search highlights matches and supports moving between results, and a table of contents lets readers jump to headings. The app remembers the reading position for each file, supports adjustable fonts and text size, and can export a document to PDF. Wide code and tables can be scrolled sideways. PilcrowMD works offline and has no account, ads, tracking, analytics, or crash reports. It opens files from a file manager or email and saves them without silently reformatting their contents. The app is intended for reading and editing technical documents, notes, and other Markdown files on a phone.
