About MarkReader - Markdown Reader
MarkReader is an offline Android reader for Markdown and code files, with a built-in editor for notes and quick changes. Markdown files can be displayed with headings, emphasis, blockquotes, inline and fenced code, and tables. Code files can be viewed with syntax highlighting for many programming languages, including Kotlin, Python, JavaScript, Java, C, HTML, CSS, JSON, and YAML. Users can create new notes and files, edit Markdown in an editor, and switch to a preview to see the rendered result. A formatting toolbar provides shortcuts for common syntax such as headings, links, lists, and code blocks. Files can be opened from a file manager or another app, then saved in place or exported to a new location. MarkReader processes files locally and requires no internet connection, account, or special storage permission. It opens only files the user selects through Android’s file interface. The app has light and dark themes, dynamic color, and no ads, analytics, or tracking.
