About MasterMindy
MasterMindy is a customizable code-breaking puzzle for one player or a group. The game generates a secret sequence of colored pawns, and players try to deduce its arrangement from minimal clues after each guess. A black hint indicates that a pawn is the correct color in the correct position; a white hint means a selected color is present but placed incorrectly. The exact identity of each hinted pawn is not revealed, so players use successive rounds of feedback to narrow down the answer. Difficulty can be adjusted by changing the number of pawn positions and available colors, and by allowing or disallowing repeated colors in the hidden code. Time and turn limits can add pressure. The app can save a game so it can be resumed later, and startup hints can be enabled to explain the rules. Pawns can be rearranged with drag-and-drop after a long press. The layout responds to orientation changes and is designed for both phones and tablets. Pawns can be given unique names, which can help players who distinguish them by label rather than color. The screen can be kept awake while the player thinks. The interface is available in several languages, including Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Polish, and Dutch. MasterMindy suits players who enjoy deduction games and want to tune the code length, color set, and challenge rules. Its saved games and flexible difficulty make it possible to play short rounds or take more time to solve a puzzle.
