Meditation is an Android countdown timer for meditation sessions.

About Meditation

Meditation is an Android countdown timer for meditation sessions. Users can set a pre-meditation delay before the countdown starts and add intermediate intervals that divide a session. At the end, the app plays a chosen bell or gong sound, with a volume setting independent of the phone’s overall system volume. The interface is intentionally minimal and focuses on starting and timing a session. The selection of bell and gong sounds provides different ending cues, while adjustable volume lets users set how prominent those cues are. Intermediate intervals can provide a gentle signal during a longer meditation without interrupting the whole session. Meditation runs a foreground service and disables battery optimization to support its timer while the phone is idle. It is open-source software and is designed for people who want a simple session timer with a pre-start pause, optional interval bells, and a clear end notification.
