About Mensa-Guthaben
Mensa-Guthaben is an Android NFC reader for checking the balance stored on compatible cafeteria cards. Users tap a supported card to the phone, and the app reads the current balance. The supplied description lists support for cards from two card systems used by universities in Germany. The app is focused on balance reading rather than account top-ups or payments. It requires an NFC-capable phone and a compatible card. The description says the app has been tested with cards used at several German universities, but does not list all supported institutions or card configurations. Mensa-Guthaben provides a quick way to check the stored value on a supported cafeteria card without using a separate reader.
