About Meron
Meron is an email and feed app that brings several ways of working with messages into a unified inbox. It supports IMAP and SMTP email, along with RSS and Atom feeds. Users can view conversations in threaded form, compose rich-text messages, and browse media galleries. In addition to an inbox, the app offers kanban and chat views for handling the same communication in different layouts. Account setup can use OAuth or automatic mailbox discovery. Meron stores accounts and messages in encrypted form on the device, and keeps credentials in the operating system’s keyring. The interface offers themes and more than 20 languages. Mail and feeds synchronize through a shared software core. If sender images are enabled, the app sends a SHA-256 hash of each sender’s email address to an image lookup service. If no image is found, it can send the sender’s domain, and potentially its parent domain, to another lookup service. This behavior applies to the optional sender-image feature and is useful to know when deciding whether to enable it. The supplied description does not list specific mail providers or offline synchronization behavior.
