About Mindustry
Mindustry is a factory-building strategy game that combines production planning with tower defense and real-time strategy. Players build supply chains that turn raw resources into materials, ammunition, and units, then use those resources to expand and protect their bases. Enemy waves threaten the core, while units can be commanded to attack and capture enemy bases. Production involves placing blocks, moving liquids, and managing optional coolant and lubricant to improve output. Assembly lines can construct mechanized armies, and a range of drones, mechs, and ships can support automated base management or direct assaults. Players must respond to changing threats such as fires and raids while keeping factories supplied and defenses operating. The campaign spans the planets Serpulo and Erekir, with handcrafted maps and procedurally generated sectors. Captured territory can produce resources while play continues elsewhere, and sectors face periodic invasions that require defense. Launch pads move resources between sectors, and research unlocks additional blocks and technologies. Friends can join missions cooperatively. Custom games offer cooperative, player-versus-player, and sandbox modes, with public or private multiplayer sessions. Rules such as block costs, enemy strength, starting items, and wave timing can be adjusted. The game also includes a map editor with scripting support and mod support, allowing players to create or alter scenarios beyond the campaign.
