About Mobile Maia
Mobile Maia is an offline Android chess app for playing against Maia-3 and analyzing games with Stockfish. It offers adjustable playing strength from rating 600 to 2600, lets the player choose either color or a random side, and supports unlimited games, timed presets, and custom clocks. Optional human-like move timing, premoves, takebacks, rematches, draw offers, and restoration of unfinished games shape the playing experience. The bundled models, opening database, games, and analysis work without an account, subscription, or internet connection, though the download is several hundred megabytes. For study, the app can compare move probabilities at two Maia ratings with two Stockfish suggestions and show agreement on the board. Full-game analysis is available in Fast, Balanced, and Thorough modes. Reviews include accuracy, an evaluation graph, and annotations such as good moves, mistakes, and blunders. Users can import FEN positions or PGN games, edit positions, build nested variations, and save or share PGN with variations, annotations, and clock history. An offline opening reference provides names and ECO codes. The app stores games locally and can filter recent games by side, rating, and date. It supports ten interface languages. Experimental Chessnut board support includes LEDs, sounds, battery status, and reconnect recovery, but only supports unlimited play from the standard starting position; USB and analysis-board input are not supported. Mobile Maia is an independent community project, not an official app for the chess model, analysis engine, or board brands it supports.
