About Modbus Slave
Modbus Slave simulates Modbus slave devices so developers can test a Modbus master application without needing the physical device to be available. It can simulate up to 100 devices in separate windows, and data in an open document can be accessed by the master application. This allows communication and application behavior to be exercised during development. The tool is aimed at people programming or testing programmable logic controller (PLC) systems and other Modbus-based software. Simulated devices can be used to check a workflow before a supplier's hardware arrives or to reproduce a test setup. The supplied information does not describe which Modbus variants, register behaviors, or test scenarios are supported. Modbus Slave's stated purpose is to provide virtual slave devices for communicating with a Modbus master during development and testing.
