About mozregression
mozregression is an interactive tool for finding which build in a sequence introduced a software regression. A regression is a behavior that used to work but broke after a change. The user can compare builds from a range and narrow the interval between a working state and a failing one, helping identify when the issue appeared. The tool is described for nightly and integration builds of a web browser, making it useful in browser testing and bug investigation. Its range-finding workflow assists with locating the change window; it does not by itself explain the cause of the bug or repair it. The result still needs to be examined by a developer or tester who can connect the affected build to the changes made around that time.
