About Mule on Android
Mule on Android is a client for the ED2K file-sharing network, also known as eDonkey2000. It can search for files by keyword using servers or the Kademlia distributed hash table (DHT), and it can search for sources that have a particular file. Once sources are found, the app can download the files. The app is based on an ED2K library and includes internationalized user interface support. The search and download functions depend on connecting to the network and finding servers or peers that provide sources. The app description also notes that search suggestions and network node information come from online services, so some parts of discovery rely on internet access beyond the file transfer itself. Mule’s role is focused on searching the ED2K network and managing downloads on an Android device.
