About Munder Difflin

Munder Difflin is a desktop workspace for coordinating multiple coding agents that run as command-line programs. It wraps compatible agent tools as separate processes and presents each one in an interactive terminal. Users can assign work to agents, monitor their activity, and communicate with a coordinating agent that routes tasks among them. A visual office layout represents active agents and their status, while messages between them are shown as they move through the system. The visual display sits alongside the actual terminal output, so users can inspect what the agents are doing and interact with individual sessions. The agents coordinate through separate mailboxes, shared files, and a common activity record. The application provides per-agent memory and semantic search across stored notes, allowing information from earlier work to be recalled. A shared knowledge area can hold documents and policies for agents to consult. For parallel work, optional isolated workspaces help keep agents’ changes apart. The coordinator handles routine routing and can escalate matters such as spending, destructive operations, or changes of scope for human review. Users can intervene during a run or stop work when needed; a circuit-breaker control is described for agents that loop, produce repeated errors, or exceed budgets. Munder Difflin also includes a command center for task boards with dependencies, scheduled work, live agent monitoring, memory search, activity history, and continuous-integration status. A built-in code editor provides a file tree and editing tabs, with views for changes, history, comparisons, and branches. The application can connect to messaging channels and webhooks so work can be initiated or reported outside the desktop interface. It supports multiple compatible agent command-line programs, custom commands, user-provided provider credentials, and local model endpoints. The workspace runs on the user’s computer and depends on the command-line agents and supporting tools selected for a project. A setup page shows which prerequisites are present and can ask the coordinator to install missing tools. The interface is available in English, Simplified Chinese, and Arabic, including right-to-left layout for Arabic. These features make Munder Difflin a coordination and oversight layer for agent-driven coding work rather than a single coding assistant.
