About Navy Fleet Battle
Navy Fleet Battle is a two-player sea-battle game based on the classic Russian rules. Players can compete against the computer or pass one device between two people. Each player places a fleet on a 10-by-10 grid; ships occupy 20 cells, stand in straight lines, and cannot touch, even diagonally. A hit earns another shot, while a miss passes the turn. When a ship is sunk, surrounding water is marked automatically. The game is designed for children to play on a shared device. Large boards and touch targets make shots easier to aim, and each shot must be aimed before it is fired. Animations reveal the result after the shot, and a handoff screen clearly indicates whose turn is next. The game’s result is shown with both a picture and words. Sound is used throughout, with a mute button on each screen that remembers its setting. The interface can switch between Russian and English during a game, and grid labels change to match the selected language. Navy Fleet Battle is free and open source, with no ads, trackers, accounts, or network access according to its description.
