About NebGuard
NebGuard applies policy rules to actions taken by AI coding or autonomous agents. It can inspect actions such as running shell commands, editing files, pushing changes, or modifying infrastructure, then allow the action, add a guiding note, block it, or provide extra context. Rules are organized across areas including security, development, operations, service management, AI governance, and business policy. The same engine and rules can operate on a developer’s computer or in an agent pod in a cluster. Decisions are recorded, creating an audit trail for later review. NebGuard acts as a control layer between an agent and its actions, helping teams apply consistent boundaries; its effect depends on the rules configured and the actions the agent attempts.
